Legends defense might be the best in the business and certainly was the reason for their spring 2004 super bowl victory, and once again did a great job! The exception was Café QB Rick Field’s ability to slide outside the pocket buying extra time to make the big plays necessary in a game like this! Café used solid defense against a struggling Legend offense to grind out a 13-6 victory. The “A” division produces big games in the regular season but the real season begins in November and once again the Cannoneers chasing an undefeated season will be the favorites, but the gap has closed! Café and Legends will once again give the Cannoneers their toughest test! My dark horse is W.T.’s a solid team missing a piece of the puzzle.

Well, I’m guilty of leaving a game at halftime thinking the outcome was certain. Marx’s Roofing jumped out to a 6-0 lead over the Untouchables before the morning dew left the ground. The Untouchables then stormed back with three TD’s before the half and looked like the dominant team with no chance of losing. Well, a 20-6 halftime deficit for Marx’s did not last very long! Thirty minutes later they turned the tables outscoring the Untouchables 18-0 and pulling out a huge win! Marx’s Roofing and the Alpha Knights are the only undefeated teams left in the “B” division!

An epic battle took place in Troy Sunday! O’Leary’s Lions defeated #1 Auto Body 37-36 in triple overtime. Troy seems to produce some of the most exciting regular season games year in and year out and this was no exception. Coming into the game each team sported a 2-1 record and ranked #2 and #3 in total offense. As much as the player’s must have enjoyed the game the ramifications were huge. The Troy division runs six deep with only four of these teams making the playoffs. O’Leary’s improves to 3-1 while #1 Auto Body falls into a tie with the Chiefs & Troy Predators at 2-2. At 2-2 those three teams will fight for one playoff spot.
