The Warriors came into the game 1-3 yet very competitive. On Sunday the Warriors struggled to field 9 player’s and seemed out of sorts when the game was about to start. W.T.’s came into the game 4-0 and league favorites for the regular season title. New QB Rick Field facing a massive pass rush all day used his brains and moved the ball down field by throwing to spots and letting his receivers run to the ball. The formula worked for 6 points and another TD was dropped. W.T.’s offense struggled Sunday and the combination of poor offense and good defense made for a long day for W.T.’s. The 6-0 victory will go down as one of the great upsets in CDFFL history.

In past years the Blaze would beat any team on any given Sunday and yet lose to an inferior team the next week. The inconsistent play cost the Blaze many chances at the playoffs and stunning losses while in the playoffs. On Sunday the Blaze proved this year would be different by knocking off the Finke Blue Devils 39-13 in dominating fashion. The Blaze now 5-0 control their own destiny and seemed posed to make a championship run by playing consistent football week in and week out.

The Schenectady division is now a three team horse race with a few horses right behind the leaders. The Misfits coming off an opening day loss won their fourth game in a row defeating previously undefeated AC Body Works 25-13. The Misfits, AC, and Lynn’s all 4-1 will head into the second half of the race tied. The Raiders and BMW now 3-2 trail by one game. At this point in the season the Misfits and Lynn’s appear to be the division favorites.
