The Quarterfinals for the winners turned out to be an easy test. The closest margin of victory was 15 points and that game was never in doubt. The four remaining teams will not have such an easy time this Sunday. In the best match-up of the day the Cannoneers will face playoff nemesis Legends @ 9:00am. Legends without much of an offense always seems to get it done against the Cannoneers come playoff time. In the fall 2004 championship Legends upset the Cannoneers and last season in an early playoff round they took down the defending champs. W.T.’s now 10-0 will be heavy favorites over the Café Italia Aztecs.

Big time football will take place at Hoffman Park on Sunday. First two teams looking to play in their first championship will face off. Cool Insuring Blaze a tournament tested team in the “B” division and newcomer Dynasty will have plenty at stake. In the biggest match-up of the day Finke Blue Devils and World One will set the record straight in a re-match of an earlier regular season game won by Finke. World One has been to a “B” super bowl and Finke has not.

The “C” division starts with 16 teams in the playoffs and has four rounds of competion before a winner is crowned. The first round did see a huge upset as the #15 CD Transmission took down BMW 21-20 in overtime, a crushing defeat for a great team. BMW finished 9-0 and first in defense at 5 points per game. CD Transmission finished 4-5 and barely made the playoffs. The winners will play doubleheaders this Sunday and the final two teams will face off in the super bowl.
