THIS WEEK'S TRIVIA QUESTIONLAST WEEK'S TRIVIA ANSWER
Name the last CDFFL team to win a National Title?

Name a brother combination still playing as of today on different teams?

Answer: Zack & Jimmy Palmer
Dynasty & Firebirds

QUOTE OF THE WEEKPLAYERS OF THE WEEK
I would like to personally congratulate the entire W1 team for a game well played. I'm really glad to see a Schenectady team do so well. To my boys A.P., Beanpole A.K.A. Jimmy Curcio, Big Dave Sherman,The Rapp brothers, and all of the others that were there from day one when I played with you guys and we only had 2 or three wins. In a very short time you guys have put together a solid team who have stuck together even through a losing season and some trials and tribulations. I give you guys all the credit that you deserve. Good luck in the A's. I hope that you do well.

Much Love
~Rich Young

"A" DIVISION
15 AND COUNTING!
The good old boys came to play on the main stage Sunday and it was a rock and roll show that the “A” division has never seen before. After a back and forth regulation with the scored tied at 13, thanks to a Jim Shellenberger (Cannoneers) FG, the teams moved into overtime. In overtime the teams traded TD’s and shared a 27-27 tie after two rounds of play. In the third O.T. W.T.’s suffered a critical first down penalty and could not overcome 20 yards in three plays. The Cannoneers waited until fourth down before converting the game winning TD and league record 15th Championship. The Cannoneers QB Kevin Deguire finished 28/45 4TD’s and 1 Int. W.T.’s QB Jason Sheehy went 16/29 and 3 TD’s. The Cannoneers will travel to Princeton, N.J. for the AFTFL National Title December 9/10.

"B" DIVISION
FAST MOVERS!
World One came in as the favorites defeating Dynasty in the regular season and avenging their only regular season loss by beating Finke in the semifinals. World One’s 21-13 victory proved to the CDFFL world they can play defense behind all-everything Brian Barrett who recorded multiple sacks. Dynasty could not get their high-powered offense on track and Dynasty QB Zack Palmer struggled with heavy pressure most of the game. Dynasty turnovers did not help their cause. The convincing 8-point victory only two off the line will send World One to the “A” division with a “WORLD” of confidence. W1 will try for an AFTFL National Title December 9/10.

"C" DIVISION
ON FIRE!
The Firebirds finished off a perfect 13-0 season with a tight 13-10 victory over one of Troy’s finest The Ruck. The line below was on target and the game could have gone either way. The Ruck defense played BIG in the first half holding onto a 3-0 lead late into the half. The Firebirds offense finally got on track with a TD making the score 7-3. In the second half The Ruck got on track taking a 10-7 lead. However, like all season long the Firebirds would not be denied scoring for the final time and winning 13-10 for their first championship. Each team looked like solid “B” teams and the Firebirds will get a chance to test the waters in the spring of 2007.

CO-ED
SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS SET!!
The one, two, and four seeds all won. The upset so to speak was the number six I love NY squad taking down The Velmas (#3) 21-13. The Velmas tough all season lost their last game of the season to drop down to the three seed and ran into a very dangerous I Love NY team with a lot of speed. I Love NY has trouble on defense and it was somewhat surprising they held The Velmas to 13 points. The semifinals and championship will take place either Saturday December 2nd or Sunday December 3rd @ Lincoln Park. In one match up the three time champs Silver Bullets will take on All-American Sports and Quigley’s will face I Love NY for the right at the championship.
