"A" DIVISION
AZ-IF!!
As if anyone doubted the Aztecs would make the super bowl. Everyone new they would beat the defending champs (Legends) 12-0 in the morning and then come back and beat a fresh W.T.’s 20-14 in the nightcap. Well, Diblasio, Smith, and Co. have formed the ultimate firm. In the Fall of 2004 the Aztecs defeated Marx’s Roofing 32-6 for the “B” title and now one year later they will play the undefeated Cannoneers for the “A” title. Playing in only there second “A” season they have shocked the division coming off a 2-6 regular season. The offense that scored 66 points in eight regular season games scored 32 on Sunday roughly 50%! Yes, it will take a big effort Sunday to knock off the Cannoneers but we have seen crazier things happen before in the CDFFL.

"B" DIVISION
DA-RAIDERS!!
In defensive fashion the Black & White Raiders defeated Lynn’s Uptown Gamcocks 10-7 in a defensive battle on the hard grounds of Ridge Field Park. A field goal was the difference as the Cocks came up just short in their championship run. Two weeks in a row the Gamecocks played well in adverse field conditions and if not for a few timely mistakes could have taken home the title. The Raiders finished 10-1 behind strong performances from MVP candidate Anthony Ward and Lineman candidate Lamont Morales. The Raiders team speed was negated by the conditions but they still managed to get it done and will now play for a National Title in Princeton.

"C" DIVISION
CHIEF IS THE TOP!
Chiefs are on top of the food chain. Well, the Chiefs did not have their typical 8-0 dominating regular season and the critics wondered what was wrong with them. In the past the Chiefs had great regular seasons only to choke in the playoffs. This season the Chiefs took a different approach. Play in the toughest division (Troy) and prep yourself for a championship run. In the semi’s the Chiefs demolished previously unbeaten Dynasty 41-6 and then came back from a two-score deficit to shock the Silver Bullets 27-26 in a barnburner. The Chiefs now go for the National Title in December.

CO-ED
BULLETS OVER BROADWAY!!
The stage once again belonged to the Silver Bullets winning their fourth championship in seven seasons. The Bullets did not earn the #1 seed but once again put in a big effort behind super bowl MVP Dee Ivory and strong play from Calvin Caesar to defeat Quigley’s 33-23 and The Velmas 20-6 in the championship. The Velmas deserve a lot of credit for making their first championship appearance. The Bullets victory makes it a clean sweep for the 2005 calendar year.
