"A" DIVISION
SLOW TURF
In horse racing terms “the track was slow”. In fact the middle of the field was down right sticky. Four games went off Sunday and three shutouts highlighted the day. No team scored more than 14 points and the best game of the day was the lowest scoring. The ARC Warriors led by new QB Jesse Ward drove inside the red zone with under a minute remaining and set up kicker Jon Bonkowski for the winning FG and 3-0 victory. The Warriors look to show the “A” division last season’s super bowl appearance was no fluke.

"B" DIVISION
“LOST” NOT TODAY
The Lost Boy’s may want to change their name to “Found Men”. The Boy’s came to play defense Sunday against the favorites Skyline Bar. The Skyline played last spring and went deep into the playoffs before losing to eventual champ the Lions. Today the Lost Boy’s made noise by backing up their message board quote and showing the Skyline, defense does win championships after a 6-0 victory.

"C" DIVISION
RIVALS MEET AGAIN
The Lark Tavern Tigers and Maggies Sports Café Warpigs may change sponsors once in awhile but the rivalry remains the same. On opening day with a record 18 teams playing in Albany the teams put on a show and could find themselves playing again in the playoffs. Sunday Coach Tom “Chi-Chi” Chichester out did Coach Jimmy Sitts 20-18 in the game of the day. The Orange Crush should be the favorites to win the regular season title and the Practice Heroes have made some big strides after a 35-0 victory Sunday.

CO-ED
SUPER BOWL REMATCH
Quigley’s & Shockers will start the season where they left off last fall. The game won’t be for a championship but opening day is always considered a gauge for how the season will go for each team. Quigley’s lost ALL everything player Gee Rowe and picked up former All-American standout Shane Bishop and Bruiser Jay Hartman for line play and tight end work. Quigley’s will once again be the favorite with the Silver Bullets a close second. In other news the newly created coed Hall of Fame will induct the first class after the spring season. Games will be played @ Lincoln Park, Albany every Saturday.
