"A" DIVISION (Super 10)
LIVING ON THE EDGE!
The Cannoneers scored with 17 seconds left in the game to defeat Café Italia 12-7 in a great semifinal game. Café defeated the Predators in the quarterfinals 13-6 and then came back to score first and put the pressure on the champs. The Cannoneers scored and missed back to back XP attempts (penalty) making the score 7-6 late in the second half. Café played it close to the vest down the stretch and deep in their own territory made the Cannoneers burn all their T.O.’s! Café then punted with 1:09 left giving the Cannoneers one more chance. Well, champions tend to score in that situation and score they did with 17 seconds left in the game. Café had one of the great seasons in CDFFL history and should be a contender next season.

"B" DIVISION
TOP GUNS!
Seeding aside the best 4 teams made the semifinals in the “B” division. The Knights and Raiders in Albany will be a battle on the field and on the sidelines. Each team has great fan support and each play will be a battle of will! On the Schenectady side the red-hot W1/Empire has won 7 straight and will face the Warriors a team with a wealth of talent and confidence going into the semifinal game. The winners will square off @ Bleecker Stadium 11:15am for the title.

"C" DIVISION
LAST WEEKS TITLE (#1 SEED IS NO BARGAIN)
I guess I was right about the #1 seed not being a bargain. The Chiefs (#1) lost 30-27 to the #16 O’Leary’s Lions Sunday. The Growlers like the previous two teams come out of Troy! The Growlers said “thanks for knocking off the Chiefs” and went on to beat the Lions 14-9 with a goal line stand with no time remaining. Troy went 4-1 when not playing each other Sunday. Of the four teams left 2 hail from Troy and 2 come from Albany, Schenectady was shut out. The seedings tell us the super bowl will be Troy vs. Albany.

CO-ED
QUARTERFINALS SET!!!
8 of 11 teams made the playoffs and Saturday will be a great day for coed flag football action. The high seeds should win but upsets always seem to happen when teams sleep at the wheel. The Bullets get the #1 seed and finished 8-0! Andy’s the #8 will have a tough time covering the athletic women of the Bullets. Andy’s must hope for a shootout and can score with Jen K (the wall) giving the Andy’s offense 25 seconds to make a play.
