"A" DIVISION
DEFENSE, WHAT DEFENSE?
My fellow officials and I we’re talking prior to the game about what to expect from Black & White and Legends. All of us felt a defensive battle would take place and the game would move along quickly. Sports can be funny when you try and make predictions. The game set the 2007 record for most points scored and shocked the entertained fans. QB Jesse Ward (Black & White) went from hero to goat to hero. Ward threw 4 TD passes against 1 pick. Wards lone interception came with Black & White up two TD’s in the second half. Legends LB Rob Enoch stepped in front of a Ward pass and raced 70 yards for the score. Legends scored again and Black & White was down 30-27 with little time remaining. Ward found enough energy to push his team into the end zone one last time for a thrilling 35-30 victory.

"B" DIVISION
LIONS KING OF THE HILL!
How can a team look so average one season and become a beast the next? Only the Lions can help us solve the mystery of two teams! The Lions recent 19-0 victory over the Firebirds coupled with Skylines 28-21 loss to the Storm makes the Lions the lone remaining undefeated team in the “B” division. The regular season ends in two weeks and the Barnstormers and Titans stand in the way of an undefeated regular season for the Lions. The number one defense in the league will try and hold onto the Lions perfect season.

"C" DIVISION
EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL-ABOUT IT!
Extra-points win big games. Yes, defense wins championships but in flag football the XP is not automatic and the points always come back to hurt you, in the BIG game. The Orange Crush proved to the Steelers that 4-for-4 on your XP’s is enough to eliminate a tie. The Steelers and Crush entered the game 4-1 and looked to take a game lead on each other. The Crush maintained a tie with Cobra-Kai also 5-1 for the Albany lead with two games remaining. Cobra-Kai must play the Warpigs and the Crush will play two lesser opponents in the drive to the division title.

CO-ED
TURN AROUND COMPLETE!
Andy’s Sports Bar Maniacs proved to the coed flag football world their turn-around season is no fluke. Andy’s defeated previously unbeaten I Love NY 26-13 using timely offense and a stellar defense in shutting down the high powered I Love NY offense. MVP Doug Fruehwirth paced the way as each team played with their back-up quarterbacks. Andy’s now 4-2 and only one game back of the leaders @ 5-1.
