Four games and four shutouts dominated the “A” games on Sunday. The Cannoneers defeated Legends 7-0 in overtime and revenged last season’s playoff loss to some extent. The Knights began their “A” debut with an impressive 21-0 victory over the “B” champion Untouchables. W.T.’s beat the defending champs Black & White 7-0 and begin their quest for an “A” title. The Aztecs combined with Café Italia to form a tough team as shown by their 20-0 victory over the new kids on the block “Juggernauts”.
The “A” division is alive and well. The Knights deserve a lot of credit for jumping up on their own. The Juggernauts have experienced players and will compete with more organization in the weeks to come. |

| The Gamecocks have proved over the past few years to be a top “B” contender each and every season. The Finke Blue Devils only play in the fall, seem to be a team on the bubble and are capable of making a championship run. On Sunday the Gamecocks looked like the favorites early on only to fizzle in the second half of their 13-7 loss. Finke used tough defense and timely offense in the second half to pull off the division victory. These two teams will not play again unless they meet in the playoffs. |

| Ralph’s Big Uglies took the new / old kids around the block a couple of times Sunday in a Troy match up. The Uglies 45-32 victory over Gregory’s may not have been pretty but in the Troy division a win is a win. Gregory’s features Dave Mosher & Tim Rigney from the Orange Crush and several players’ that have not played in as many as five years. The Big Uglies are Ralph’s Auto Body a team playing in Schenectady last season and advancing to the semifinals. Look for both teams to score a lot of points this season, but will their defenses hold up? |

After dropping there first non-league game back in June the Mallers went on a 10-game winning streak leading into a big game in Orange County last Saturday. The Mallers sporting a 10-1 overall record coupled with a 7-0 league record faced a hungry Tri-State Bulldog team looking for revenge after a 17-13 loss in Albany July 29th. Tri-State plays in a state of the art facility and used the home crowd to defeat the Mallers 10-7. The game ended on a 45-yard field goal with no time on the clock. If the Mallers can win their last two games they will lock up the regular season division title and a home playoff game.
