"A" DIVISION
STATEMENT GAME!
W.T.’s Mean Machine came out strong in week two and made a statement to the Cannoneers and the rest of the “A” division. The Mean Machines convincing 20-6 victory put the Cannoneers on notice that they are the early favorites in a very long season. We have 7 weeks to go in the regular season and all the “A” teams make the playoffs. The regular season is to get your team ready for the playoffs and position you’re team for seeding purposes. With six teams, the top two will get byes and the remaining four will face the up hill battle of three games for the title.

"B" DIVISION
LANIES NOW ROOKIES!
Lanies Café came into the game undefeated in 2007 league play. After a rain-out forced the cancellation of their “B” opener last week they faced Dynasty a team that wins regular season games at an alarming rate. I’m sure there was a lot of “welcome to the “B”s yelled at Lanies Sunday during a 27-6 defeat at the hands of Dynasty. Lanies should be able to compete in the “B” division but Sunday sent a jolt to a team not used to losing. We may not be sure of Lanies to date, but we do know Dynasty will compete for a title this season.

"C" DIVISION
ARE THE RAIDERS FOR REAL?
The Rotterdam Raiders defeated the Mobil Warriors 27-26 Sunday. The Raiders put together a 2-minute drive to take the lead but left too much time on the clock. The Warriors returned the kickoff to the Raider's 5 yard-line only to be stuffed by a determined Raider defense. The Raiders stand at 2-0 heading into week three. Keep in mind the Raiders finished 1-7 in the spring and 1-8 last fall. Add a 1-6 winter indoor record and a 49 year old QB and the spring 2007 season seems remarkable to this point. The dream season could end Sunday as they face the AC Body Works.

The Mallers crushed the Saints 57-0 and destroyed their limited hopes of making the playoffs. The Mallers (8-1) will finish their regular season Saturday against the New Jersey Terminators in a NAFL cross-over game.

CO-ED
BATTLE OF THE CHAMPIONS!
What away to start the coed season off. Quigley’s fall 06 champs verse Cute & Fuzzy (formerly I Love NY) spring 07 champs. The game did not disappoint as Quigleys coming off a bye season did not miss a beat winning 24-18 behind the MVP performance of Joe Salin. These two teams figure to be in the title hunt all season with the Silver Bullets looking for some payback. The Bullets lost the last two championships to the teams mentioned above.
